CODESYS programming follows IEC-1131-3 rules and offers the following programming languages: instruction list (IL), structured text (ST), function block diagram (FBD), continuous function chart (CFC), ladder diagram (LAD), sequential function chart (SFC). CODESYS V3 offers: A programming tool expandable with plug-ins (that enable customer-specific configurations); a modern development environment; expanded language capabilities (object-oriented programming); know-how protection for target and programming environment; several SPS programs in one project; new and improved target visualization functions; improved IT security functions; HTML5-based websites; fieldbus configurations: for CAN, PROFIBUS, SmartWire-DT, Modbus TCP/RTU, EthernetIP.
